This is an entry that does not conceptualize education as the learning of facts but as the learning how to live. Here’s a quick summary:

Real Knowledge Equals Inner Peace: Philosophy is not supposed to make someone appear clever, but it is supposed to enable them to achieve peace, courage, and liberation. It is as simple as that, unless what you study will help you remain calm in uncomfortable circumstances or lessen your fears then it is trivia.

The Secret of Self-Knowledge: In the text, it is highlighted that knowing yourself including your triggers, weaknesses, as well as values are the real keys to freedom. Once you know yourself, you will no longer be a victim of your impulses or what other people thought about you.

Education as a Choice: You do not read such books to spend your time. You read them to prepare yourself when challenges of life come. It is a conscious decision on the part of pursuing wisdom instead of the simple distractions such as television or snacks.
